Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager / Director Resource Management Group (RMG) to lead enterprise-wide workforce planning and resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in resource management, capacity planning, demand forecasting, utilization management, and stakeholder engagement within a large IT Services, Consulting, or Global Capability Center (GCC) environment.

This role requires close collaboration with Delivery, Sales, Practice Heads, Talent Acquisition, and HR to ensure optimal deployment of resources while maximizing utilization and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Resource Management

- Lead end-to-end resource management across multiple business units or service lines.
- Manage resource allocation based on project demand, skill availability, and business priorities.
- Drive workforce optimization and efficient utilization across delivery teams.
- Balance project staffing requirements with employee career aspirations and business objectives.

Capacity & Demand Planning

- Develop short-term and long-term resource plans aligned with business forecasts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Practice Leaders to anticipate hiring needs.
- Track bench strength and recommend redeployment strategies.
- Forecast future demand and identify potential resource gaps.

Utilization Management





- Monitor utilization metrics and improve billable utilization.
- Analyze resource availability and deployment trends.
- Minimize bench costs through proactive planning and cross-skilling initiatives.
- Prepare executive dashboards and utilization reports.

Stakeholder Management

- Partner with Delivery Managers, Practice Heads, HR, Finance, and Talent Acquisition.
- Participate in resource governance meetings.
- Resolve resource conflicts and ensure timely staffing decisions.
- Support leadership with strategic workforce recommendations.

Workforce Planning & Analytics

- Develop workforce planning strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze hiring trends, attrition, utilization, and demand forecasts.
- Present workforce insights to senior leadership.
- Build reports and dashboards using workforce analytics.

Process Improvement

- Standardize resource management processes and governance.
- Identify automation opportunities within RMG operations.
- Improve staffing turnaround time and allocation efficiency.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Experience

- 11 - 20 years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, PMO, or Delivery Operations.
- Strong experience in IT Services, Consulting, Engineering Services, or GCC environments.
- Experience supporting large, global delivery organizations.
- Proven expertise in capacity planning, utilization management, and resource forecasting.
- Experience working with senior business leaders and delivery executives.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Familiarity with ERP/PSA/Resource Management tools (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Project, Planview, Clarity PPM, Mavenlink, Kimble, etc.) is an advantage.
