The Urology Technician provides technical and clinical support in the Urology Department, Urodynamics Laboratory, Endoscopy Suite, and Operation Theatre. The role involves assisting urologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, preparing patients and equipment, maintaining specialized instruments, ensuring infection control, and delivering protected, efficient patient care.
Preferred candidate profile
Essential
- Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT) or
- B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology or
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Urology Technology (where available)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred or to be completed during induction)
Experience
- 2 to 5 years in:
- Urology OT
- Endourology
- Cystoscopy Suite
- Multi-specialty hospital (minimum 150 to 200 beds preferred)
- Experience of Urodynamics.
