Inviting Applications for Record to report-- Noida

- Shift: ANZ (Shift will begin at 4 AM / 5 AM in the morning)
- Graduation: Commerce graduate
- Exeperience range: 3 - 9 years

The Financial Control Analyst is responsible for supporting journal processing, period-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, intercompany accounting, chart of accounts governance, issue resolution and financial analysis activities. The role helps ensure financial information remains accurate, compliant and appropriately controlled while supporting financial reporting, planning and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

The External Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting statutory financial reporting, group consolidation, regulatory reporting, external audit activities, reporting governance and accounting policy compliance across leading Australian retailer. The role ensures accurate preparation and consolidation of financial information, supports external disclosures and regulatory submissions, assists in maintaining reporting controls and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the financial reporting landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Statutory Financial Statements & Disclosures

- Support preparation of Annual Reports, Half-Year Reports and subsidiary financial statements.
- Assist in preparation of notes to accounts, disclosures and supporting schedules.
- Validate financial statement information for completeness and accuracy.
- Support annual and interim reporting processes and reporting timetables.
- Coordinate requests for supporting documentation and reporting evidence.
- Assist in maintaining audit-ready reporting documentation.

Group Consolidation & Reporting





- Support consolidation of financial information across business units and legal entities.
- Validate consolidation inputs received from business units.
- Assist in certification and reconciliation activities supporting group reporting.
- Support preparation of consolidated financial statements through OneStream and related reporting platforms.
- Perform data quality checks, variance analysis and reporting validations.
- Assist in identification and resolution of consolidation issues.

External Reporting Governance

- Support governance activities associated with externally published financial information.
- Assist in implementing reporting controls, validation checks and review procedures.
- Support preparation of supporting packs, schedules and reporting documentation.
- Assist Investor Relations and Finance teams in report verification activities.
- Participate in quality reviews of externally released reporting materials.
- Ensure compliance with reporting policies and governance requirements.

External Audit Coordination

- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Coordinate preparation of audit schedules and supporting evidence.
- Track audit queries, open items and action plans.
- Assist in responding to auditor requests and information requirements.
- Support closure of audit observations and remediation activities.
- Maintain proper audit documentation and evidence repositories.

Regulatory Reporting

- Support preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings.
- Assist in validation and reconciliation of regulatory reporting information.
- Coordinate collection of required financial data from internal stakeholders.
- Maintain supporting documentation and submission records.
- Ensure reporting obligations are completed within established timelines.
- Support management of regulator-related reporting enquiries.

Issue & Query Management

- Investigate and resolve reporting-related queries from auditors, regulators and business stakeholders.
- Analyse reporting discrepancies and support root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate issue resolution activities across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Escalate technical accounting or reporting matters where required.
- Track issues through to closure and maintain supporting documentation.

Accounting Policies & Standards

- Support maintenance of accounting policies, reporting guidelines and process documentation.
- Monitor compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements.




- Assist in technical accounting research and analysis.
- Support implementation of new accounting pronouncements and policy updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of changes impacting financial reporting requirements.

Governance, Controls & Continuous Improvement

- Follow reporting controls, governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Support financial statement integrity reviews and reporting quality checks.
- Participate in reporting process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to automation, reporting simplification and standardisation projects.
- Assist with documentation updates, process maps and operating procedures.

Qualifications

Essential

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and reporting processes.
- Experience working within Financial Control, Record-to-Report, General Ledger, Controllership or Finance Operations environments.

Preferred

- CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience with SAP, OneStream or similar ERP and reporting platforms.
- Exposure to financial close, reconciliations, consolidation or controllership activities.
