Education: Postgraduate Degree / Master's in Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration (MBA), Development Studies, Rural Management, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious consulting professional to join our Financial Services, Inclusive Finance, and Development Advisory Practice as a Manager.
This role sits at the intersection of policy, finance, economic growth, and development. The Manager will lead high-impact advisory assignments that support governments, regulators, multilateral development banks (MDBs), donor agencies, development finance institutions (DFIs), and financial institutions in designing and implementing transformative programs to improve financial access for underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery & Engagement Management
- Serve as the Engagement Lead across the complete project lifecycle (inception to final delivery) for assignments focused on financial inclusion, MSME finance, digital financial services (DFS), agricultural finance, women’s economic empowerment, credit guarantee mechanisms, and policy reform.
- Formulate robust technical approaches, analytical methodologies, and execution frameworks.
- Synthesize research data and qualitative findings into high-level strategic recommendations for decision-makers.

Primary & Secondary Research Leadership
- Design and execute end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Direct large-scale field studies, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), enterprise surveys, and livelihood assessments.
- Manage and supervise third-party survey agencies, research partners, and field enumerators.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
- Design and implement complex MEL frameworks, including Theory of Change (ToC) models, Logical Frameworks (LogFrames), results measurement systems, and impact evaluations.
- Establish baselines, performance indicators, and outcome evaluation mechanisms for donor-funded and government-led programs.
4. Report Writing & Thought Leadership
- Develop technical reports, policy whitepapers, strategy documents, concept notes, diagnostic assessments, and executive-level donor deliverables.
- Translate complex financial sector data and field research into explicit, structured, and compelling narratives.
5. Business Development & Proposal Management
- Lead the preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), technical proposals, and financial bids for donor-funded procurement (World Bank, ADB, GIZ, USAID, etc.).
- Support client relationship management, account development,
pitch presentations, and strategic growth initiatives for the practice.
6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and coach multidisciplinary teams of Consultants, Senior Consultants, Analysts, and domain experts.
- Drive quality control processes and ensure methodological rigor across all project deliverables.
- Build and manage strong relationships with senior government officials, regulatory authorities, multilateral agencies, and C-suite private sector executives.
Candidate Profile & Mandatory Requirements
1. Mandatory Domain Expertise
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in management consulting, financial services advisory, public policy, or development finance.
- Core domain expertise in at least three or more of the following:
- Inclusive Finance & Financial Inclusion Diagnostics
- MSME & Livelihood Finance
- Access to Credit & Credit Guarantee Schemes
- Gender Finance / Women’s Economic Empowerment
- Digital Financial Services (DFS) & Agri-Finance
2. Mandatory Technical & Functional Skills
- M&E; / MEL Capabilities: Direct experience designing Theory of Change, LogFrames, and results measurement systems.
- Research Mastery: Demonstrated track record in managing primary (field surveys, FGDs, KIIs) and secondary research assignments.
- Analytical Writing: Advanced ability to author technical reports, donor deliverables, and policy documents independently.
- Business Development: Hands-on experience writing winning proposals for international donor organizations and development banks.
