Interior Designer position is critical to the growth and development of the Mishcat Co Interior Design Studio. This person will be part of exciting interior design projects from pre-design to delivery.
Core Responsibilities

- Work in interior design projects from concept to completion. Display leadership in all aspects of the job, from team management to client interaction and project delivery.
- Be part of the design team and take up appropriate assigned tasks.
- Be the main point of contact for Team leaders and inform them on all aspects of the project(s) from design concept and development, workflow, and the maintenance of overall quality of work.
- Be part of all phases of a design project: budget, schedule, design, documentation, specifications, and FFE procurement (including the selection, specification, and installation coordination of furniture).
- Maintain positive client relationships, foster a commitment to provide excellent client service.
- Collaborate with client representatives to determine initial goals and requirements for the project.
- Responsible for the selection, documentation, and coordination of materials and furnishings to meet project requirements, including project type requirements and budget.
- Work with other team members towards the use of design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.
- Review, markup and check all aspects of drawings production. Provide relevant input for the refinement and augmentation of design ideas.
- Coordinate with client team on aspects of MEP, site progress, stone selection, etc.
- Be adept at working on all aspects of interior design from spatial planning to interior details, both standard and bespoke.
- Create and work with other team members to create original mood boards, material palettes, furniture, soft furnishing, accessory, and guide team in their selections.




- Troubleshoot issues at every level of project delivery for a successful completion hand over of the project.
- Provide input at every level of the project from the refinement of details to making appropriate decisions.
- Create excel lists of selections (BOQ of FFE items) and coordinate with vendors for proforma invoices.
- Coordinate with the client procurement team for the timely placement of orders.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintaining quality, design intent, and timely delivery of orders.
- Proactively work as per the project schedule to meet the needs of the project.
- Communicate and coordinate information across disciplines, client teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Skills & Qualifications

- Qualified interior designer with excellent credentials and excellent portfolio in interior design, preferably in residential interiors.
- Excellent coordination skills.
- Ability to work with other team members to deliver their best performances.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent ability to create aesthetically pleasing, appropriate, and functional interior designs.
- Practiced skills in time management and prioritizing aspects of the work at hand.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoys working in a team workplace.

Advanced knowledge in the following

Best practices within the profession.

Design principles and the ability to interpret design concepts for implementation.

Design trends, construction methodology, and material application/manufacturer appropriateness.

Furniture and furniture systems, architectural/interior finishes, lighting design, building systems coordination, and documentation standards and requirements.

Design techniques, tools, production of technical plans, drawings, and models.

Proficiency in the following:

Excellent communication skills, writing and verbal.

MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

AutoCAD

Preferred knowledge of Photoshop.

Sketch Up.
