Position: Senior Consultant

Employment type: Contract for 1 year, with a path to full time role basis performance

Location: Delhi

The Opportunity

This is an early stage role in an emerging practice, where Senior Consultant will be one of the founding team members of a practice that is being built from scratch. The ultimate aim of this role would be to inspire and guide the stakeholders to achieve intended outcomes through innovative strategy and implementation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development Funder Management

- Own a portfolio of active funder conversations across domestic foundations, international philanthropies, and CSR from proposal and close.
- Lead the preparation of client proposals, Innovation Scan briefs and advisory decks.
- Support in anchoring the roundtable series, the flagship events and other marketing channels.
- Manage follow-through on every warm funder contact ensuring no relationship falls through the cracks.

2. Client Delivery

- Lead delivery of innovation engagements conducting TRL assessments, synthesizing funder-ready impact briefs, and presenting findings to client stakeholders.
- Build and manage Impact Measurement Frameworks by designing custom metrics, milestone tracking systems, and annual review structures.
- Support Capital Raise Advisory - structuring term sheets, facilitating funder-innovator conversations, and managing deal timelines.

3. Thought Leadership Knowledge Research

- Co-author research papers, policy briefs,



and long-form blog content
- Contribute to building the practices proprietary methodologies
- Monitor the Indian and global innovation philanthropy landscape

Key qualifications and experiences

- 6-8 years of experience in strategic consulting for science and technology-led initiatives, innovation management at research institutes, accelerators, or venture studios
- Project management, and stakeholder engagement across corporates, consulting firms, social enterprises, or development agencies.
- Robust analytical and financial acumen with hands-on experience in data analysis.
- Solid understanding of innovation and science-based research landscape in India and globally
- Client-facing experience with a proven track record in stakeholder management and delivering strategic advisory.
- Problem-solver with strong communication and presentation skills, capable of navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes.
- Graduate qualifications: Graduation in a sciences stream; MBA/M.Tech/MS or equivalent; prior team leadership is a plus.
- Demonstrates humility, curiosity, and a growth mindset, with a self-starter attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to travel.
