We are seeking an experienced DevOps / OpenShift Engineer with 36 years of hands-on experience in managing CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, automation, and enterprise-grade deployments. The role requires strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, DevOps tooling, and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
OpenShift & Container Platform
- Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters (OCP 3.x / 4.x).
- Manage containerized applications, operators, builders, image streams, and routes.
- Implement OpenShift resources such as DeploymentConfigs, StatefulSets, Secrets, ConfigMaps, PVCs.
- Perform cluster upgrades, patching, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot cluster, networking, and container runtime issues.
DevOps, CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize.
- Integrate automated testing, security scans, and deployment workflows.
- Manage source code repositories (Git), branching strategies, and release processes.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Work with cloud platforms.
- Manage compute, storage, networking, and identity services for deployments.
- Implement monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or equivalent.
- Support infrastructure security, compliance, and access management.
SRE & Operational Excellence
- Develop automated solutions for scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Create observability dashboards and maintain service-level objectives (SLOs).
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and system optimization.
Required Skills
- OpenShift / Kubernetes administration
- CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Scripting: Shell, Python, or Groovy
- Ansible, Terraform
- Container technologies: Docker, CRI-O
- Good understanding of network concepts (Load balancing, Ingress, Service Mesh)
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
- Understanding of GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux).
- Knowledge of Security tools (Sysdig, Aqua, Trivy).
- Exposure to Linux systems administration (RHEL preferred).
- Familiarity with mTLS, RBAC, OAuth, and SSO integrations.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
