Role & responsibilities

1. Plan and oversee inbound & outbound transportation of coils/sheets/finished goods from plant to warehouses & customers.
2. Manage daily dispatch operations, vehicle placement, loading & unloading planning, route optimization & transit monitoring.
3. Coordinate with Production, Sales, SCM & Warehouse teams for order prioritization and timely deliveries.
4. Manage logistics vendors / transporters, ensure SLA compliance, freight negotiations & performance reviews.
5. Ensure 100% documentation accuracy e-way bills, invoices, LR, dispatch challans & SAP entries.
6. Monitor inventory levels, warehouse utilization & FIFO/FEFO implementation.
7. Drive cost optimization initiatives freight cost reduction, vehicle utilization & turnaround time improvement.

Analyze logistics MIS reports freight costs, transit time, demurrage, detention,freight variance.
9. Ensure zero accident & safety compliance during material handling & transport operations.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5-8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel, automotive or building materials is preferred.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight delivery timelines.
