About this role:
You would be supporting the global consulting delivery team of Gartner Consulting advising IT and business leaders on application strategy, develop comparative insights, create recent capabilities, and market opportunities for some of our large customers across North America, EMEA and Japan regions. Your role would be to support consulting engagement for our clients as part of extended global team by demonstrating strong analytical mindset, business acumen, great learning attitude, problem solving and consultative skill and quality of execution.
What youll do:
- Support application strategy engagements by working on development of application modernization roadmaps, application rationalization and ensuring alignment with software delivery best practices.
- Articulate findings and implications on client software solutions and infrastructure and provide fact-based recommendations for improvements.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of leading application design and architectural principles and best practices, hands on experience in large scale IT landscape.
- Make high impact client presentations with compelling story board, hypothesis and visualization to deliver actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal and client leaders to contribute to creation of reusable solutions, proposals and Points of Views (POVs).
- Contribute to project management, quality assurance, and best practices within the team.
What you’ll need:
- 3-5 years of total work experience in application strategy, technology modernization, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or related roles (consulting firm experience preferred).
- Strong foundational knowledge across architecture domains, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, API strategy, ERP ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data architecture.
- Knowledge of leading-edge and emerging technologies that drive modern architecture such as cloud-native platforms, microservices, continuous availability, integration platforms, DevSecOps, and mesh application and service architecture.
- Experience with application/software development lifecycle (requirements, development, testing, deployment), including agile (preferred), hybrid, and waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of assessment and implementation of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, etc.).
- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong PowerPoint skills for data storytelling and client presentations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, global consulting environment.
