Job Description:
Must possess advanced Civil & Structural design expertise, power plant Engineering experience, 15-20 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with specific experience in large-scale power and FGD projects.
Technical Skills & Domain Expertise
Familiarity with Civil & Structural engineering of Wet Limestone Forced Oxidation processes, including absorber foundations, absorber towers, limestone preparation systems, and gypsum dewatering systems.
Knowledge of Civil Foundation Design
Deep knowledge of civil foundation design of the large steel (Tank, Absorber, silo, Duct support, etc.) & RCC structures (Buildings).
Structural Design & Analysis: Expertise in analysing complex structures, such as heavy equipment foundations, large steel structural frames for ductwork, and conveyor galleries, silos, tanks, etc.
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and FEA tools (Ansys) for structural modelling and analysis.
Materials & Construction: Deep knowledge of RCC and steel structural construction techniques, specifically regarding corrosion protection, galvanization, and high-strength concrete used in acidic environments (like FGD absorber areas).
Standards & Codes: Strong knowledge of IS/ASME codes and best industrial practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Strong ability to interface with mechanical and electrical systems, particularly coordinating ductwork, piping, and foundation bolts for heavy equipment.
Experience in leading engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and mentoring of engineers.
Role & responsibilities
Design & Analysis: Leading the design and verification of FGD structures, including absorber foundations (often 600mm thick bottom walls) and gypsum storage sheds.
Construction Support: Resolving design or construction issues during the installation phase and conducting quality audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree in civil engineering OR Postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering (preferable).
- Experience: 15-20 years of experience in Civil & Structural engineering in the Power/Energy sector and hands-on experience in FGD projects of 500 MW and above coal-based thermal power stations, preferably 660 MW supercritical units with Skilled Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Age- 40 Years to 55 Years
- Monthly Consolidated Pay Negotiable

Employee/Retired Employee of Public Sector Undertaking/Reputed Private Sector industries shall be given preference.
