QA Manager Pricefx QA Lead | India Pricing Practice
Role Summary
We are hiring a QA Manager / QA Lead for our Pricing Technology practice in India. This role is responsible for leading quality assurance across Pricefx or any pricing tool implementation programs and ensuring that user stories, business requirements, configurations, data flows, analytics, and integrations are tested completely and accurately.
The QA Manager will own test planning, QA governance, defect management, status reporting, and cross-functional coordination across functional, development, data/integration, release, client, and leadership teams. This is a delivery leadership role focused on driving testing quality, managing risks, and ensuring release readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Understanding & Test Preparation
- Review user stories, acceptance criteria, functional designs, and configuration specifications to define the overall testing approach.
- Lead requirement refinement, sprint planning, test planning, and defect triage discussions from a QA perspective.
- Guide the QA team in translating business requirements into structured test scenarios, test cases, and regression packs.
- Ensure adequate coverage of positive, negative, boundary, regression, integration, and edge-case scenarios.
- Understand pricing concepts such as price lists, discount rules, approvals, hierarchies, agreements, rebates, promotions, and governance controls.
Testing Lead
- Oversee functional testing to validate that Pricefx development and configuration meet approved requirements.
- Ensure testing coverage across pricing logic, workflows, validations, calculations, UI behavior, dashboards, agreements, and approvals.
- Review end-to-end business scenarios across Pricefx modules, including inputs,
processing, outputs, exceptions, and user experience.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, regression, smoke testing, and release validation cycles.
- Validate that configuration changes meet business expectations and do not create unintended impacts on existing functionality.
Defect Management & Quality Control
- Own defect management governance, including defect quality, prioritization, triage, aging, escalation, and closure tracking.
- Review critical defects for clarity, severity, business impact, reproducibility, and supporting evidence.
- Work with functional, development, data/integration, and client teams to clarify issues and support root cause analysis.
Documentation & Delivery Support
- Maintain test plans, test execution summaries, defect dashboards, regression status, and release readiness reports.
- Support UAT planning, test data readiness, business user coordination, and hypercare validation.
- Provide QA status updates, risks, blockers, and recommendations to project and client leadership.
- Drive adherence to project testing standards, governance processes, and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in QA, functional testing, business testing, application testing, or test management.
- Experience leading QA workstreams for enterprise applications, pricing systems, CPQ, ERP, CRM, or commercial platforms.
- Robust understanding of test planning, test case design, execution tracking, defect lifecycle, regression testing, SIT, and UAT.
- Good understanding of pricing concepts such as price lists, discounts, approvals, agreements, rebates, hierarchies, and governance controls.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management platforms.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, status reporting, and issue escalation skills.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Pricefx or other pricing / revenue management platforms.
- Experience testing pricing configuration, workflows, rebate calculations, dashboards, or data source tables.
- Exposure to SQL, data validation, reconciliation testing, or integration testing.
- Experience managing UAT, release validation, or hypercare testing with business and client stakeholders.
- Exposure to test automation with tools such as Selenium and Playwright, AI-assisted testing, or tools for test case generation and defect analysis.
- Ability to manage distributed teams across multiple time zones.
