Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale databases using various technologies such as Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design database solutions that meet those needs.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of the database systems by implementing best practices in database administration.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to database performance tuning, data integrity, and system failures.

Job Requirements :

- 10-20 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale databases using various technologies (Cassandra/MongoDB/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Robust understanding of document DB (e.g., CouchDB) and NoSQL databases (e.g., HBase).
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server; knowledge of Snowflake is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MapReduce programming model used in big-data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
