Role & responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end warehouse and stores operations, including receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials in line with production requirements.
- Ensure effective inventory management through SAP by maintaining accurate stock records and optimal inventory levels.
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, quality, and production teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Manage incoming material receipt, inspection coordination, and timely availability of materials for production.
- Oversee storage and handling of electronic and mechanical components while ensuring compliance with storage standards and safety protocols.
- Implement and monitor FIFO/FEFO practices, shelf-life management, traceability systems, and inventory control procedures.
- Drive warehouse process improvements, automation, and digitalization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce material handling losses.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, stock ageing, obsolescence, inventory turnover, and cycle count performance.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse layout standards, industrial best practices, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets related to warehouse operations and infrastructure improvements.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Lead,
mentor, and develop the warehouse team to achieve operational excellence and business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, EHS guidelines, and audit requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
- 10-15 years of experience in warehouse/stores operations within a manufacturing environment, preferably in Electronics, EMS, Automotive, or Industrial Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/WM/EWM modules preferred).
- Robust knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, and storage systems.
- Expertise in warehouse automation, AMR/AGV, digitalization, barcode/RFID systems, and WMS solutions.
- Hand on Experience in Chemicals - Flammable / Non-Flammable, Hazardous / DG Chemicals.
- Good understanding of electronic and mechanical material storage requirements.
- Strong knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, shelf-life management, and material traceability.
- Experience in warehouse layout planning, industrial warehouse standards, and space optimization.
- Sound understanding of CAPEX, OPEX, budgeting, and cost optimization.
- Experience in implementing Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.
