JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Sr. Engineer Tooling/ Tooling Engineer

Place: Sriperumbudur, Chennai

Department: Tool Room

Brief Description of the Job:

1. Maintaining the record of Tool trials

2. Managing production orders for New tool development

3. Monitoring and improving the OTD of New Tools

4. Maintaining the records of tool transfer

5. Planning and scheduling New Tool Delivery.

6. Implementing and monitoring the quality systems in the department

7. Participating in Department review meetings

8. Participating in Design review meetings

9. Involving in APQP process

10. Coordinating Recent development activities with HOD

11. Maintaining the 5S and Safety in the department

Education and Work Experience Required:

1. DME or Engineering Degree

2. Around 3+ years experience in manufacturing operation.

Job Skills/Competency Required:

1. Knowledge in the press setting, tool setting procedures, tool debugging and problem solving in the tools.

2.



Tool design Review and the tool design modification Skills.

3. Knowledge in the Basic and advanced machining technologies.

4. Knowledge in the Control Chart and measurement techniques.( I MR Chart)

5. Knowledge about specialty tool steels, Heat treatment and machining techniques.

6. Knowledge in the APQP related documentations and PPAP,FMEA and Control Plan

7. Process Planning and Tooling Supplier Control Skills.

8. Usage of the CAD software, solid works, etc.

9. Knowledge in the PM Procedure and Monitoring of the PM Quantifiers

10. Elevations of the Issue which requires the Superiors intervention.

11. Knowledge in Press Specifications and Special Purpose Machine Operations.
