Role & responsibilities

Role Objective - We are seeking a highly accomplished General Manager Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for a high-growth defence and aerospace organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Global Procurement

Lead sourcing of critical electronic components (active/passive), PCBs, connectors, and specialized mechanical systems across domestic and international markets.

Develop and execute robust global supply chain strategies to mitigate risks related to long lead times, geopolitical disruptions, and supply constraints.

Drive high-value commercial negotiations to optimize costs while ensuring uncompromised defence-grade quality standards. Vendor Development & Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic suppliers aligned with stringent aerospace and defence quality requirements.

Establish supplier performance management frameworks focused on quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.

Conduct vendor audits and continuous improvement initiatives to improve OTIF, reduce lead times, and enhance operational efficiency. Operations & Lifecycle Management

Ensure material availability to support critical defence and aerospace projects





Collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams during Recent Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure supply chain readiness.

Lead warehouse, inbound, outbound logistics, and inventory management for high-value and sensitive materials. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks including GST, Customs, FEMA, and EXIM requirements.

Drive supply continuity through risk mitigation strategies, including single-source dependency reduction and obsolescence management. Qualification - B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication / Mechanical Engineering Technical Expertise:

ERP Systems SAP / Oracle

AS9100 Standards

MIL-grade Component Sourcing

Strategic Procurement & Vendor Development Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Optimization

On-Time In-Full (OTIF) Material Availability
