Role & responsibilities

Proven experience to architect and design with containerization technologies including:

- Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Helm Charts and ArgoCD
- Stateful Kubernetes workloads including persistent volumes. Stateful Sets, and storage class management

Solid understanding of Kubernetes security best practices, including:

- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Network Policies
- Pod Security Standards and Admission Controllers
- Secrets management using Kubernetes Secrets and integrations with Vault
- Image scanning and vulnerability assessment tools
- Secure multi-tenant cluster design and namespace isolation

Experience implementing and managing Istio service mesh including:

- Traffic routing with Virtual Services and Destination Rules
- mTLS encryption and JWT-based authentication
- Ingress/Egress gateway configuration
- Integration with observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana
- Fault injection, circuit breaking, and canary deployments

- Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with programming/scripting languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, and SQL
- Experience in source code management of enterprise applications using Git
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Configuration Automation tools like Ansible/Terraform
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Agile SDLC

What the job entails:

- Architect,



design and maintain Kubernetes clusters with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security
- Implement and manage Istio service mesh for advanced traffic routing, observability, and security between microservices
- Define and enforce Kubernetes security policies, including RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards, and secrets management
- Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like Prometheus or Grafana
- Conduct chaos engineering and fault injection testing to validate system robustness
- Lead efforts in multi-cluster and multi-tenant architecture for enterprise-grade deployments
- Collaborate with team in an open, supportive environment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Setup guidelines and best practices for source control systems, builds, and artifact stores
- Solve challenging problems and work effectively with others to come up with the best solution
- Provide technical support for software development teams
- Work closely with and assist software development teams to ensure agreement on deployment strategies
- Communicate new skills and tools to other teammates use user groups and training
- Creating technical requirement, design, and deployment documents
- Ability to communicate with various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to work in fast-paced, team-orientated environment
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and meet timelines and objective
