Microsoft 365 Adoption SME

Job Summary

The Microsoft 365 Adoption SME is responsible for driving user adoption, engagement, and value realization across Microsoft 365 services. This role focuses on leveraging adoption analytics, Viva Insights, usage reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance employee productivity, collaboration, and digital workplace transformation. The SME works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, change management teams, and leadership to monitor adoption trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Adoption Analytics

- Analyze Microsoft 365 adoption and usage data to measure user engagement and platform effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain adoption dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
- Identify adoption gaps, trends, and opportunities to improve utilization of Microsoft 365 services.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to business and IT stakeholders.
- Viva Insights

- Utilize Microsoft Viva Insights to assess workplace collaboration patterns and productivity metrics.
- Generate reports and interpret organizational trends to support employee experience initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving productivity, collaboration, and well-being.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership teams.

Usage Reporting

- Create and manage Microsoft 365 usage reports covering key workloads such as Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, and Viva.
- Monitor service adoption, license utilization, and feature consumption.
- Deliver periodic executive and operational reports with meaningful business insights.
- Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.

Continuous Improvement





- Establish and execute continuous improvement plans based on adoption metrics and user feedback.
- Identify areas for optimization and recommend best practices for Microsoft 365 services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements that improve user experience and business outcomes.
- Track improvement initiatives and measure impact through defined success metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Viva Suite.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Adoption Score, Usage Analytics, and Microsoft Admin Center reporting.
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Viva Insights reporting and analysis.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Knowledge of change management and user adoption strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Microsoft 365, Microsoft Viva, or Power Platform certifications preferred.
- Experience supporting digital transformation and employee experience programs.
- Familiarity with organizational change management methodologies.

Experience

- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration, adoption, analytics, digital workplace, or employee experience initiatives.
- Proven experience in driving Microsoft 365 adoption and delivering measurable business outcomes through data-driven insights.
