Senior SAP ABAP Developer (10+ Years Experience)

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP technical development and enterprise application integration. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA development, with proven experience in designing, developing, and supporting complex SAP solutions across multiple business domains.

The role requires strong technical leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP solutions for business requirements.
- Develop and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEF).
- Build high-performance applications using SAP S/4HANA technologies, including CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, and OData services.
- Develop and support Fiori backend services and SAP Gateway applications.
- Perform technical analysis, code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business teams to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions.
- Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade, migration, and support projects.
- Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.

Required Technical Skills

- 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong expertise in Classical ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV Reports, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts, Module Pool Programming, Dialog Programming, Data Dictionary, BDC, LSMW, and Enhancement Framework.
- Experience with User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots, Business Transaction Events (BTE), and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements.




- Robust knowledge of ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, SQL Script, Code Pushdown techniques, and ABAP Development Tools (ADT/Eclipse).
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA technical development.
- Expertise in SAP Gateway, OData (V2/V4), RAP, and Fiori backend development.
- Strong SQL optimization and performance tuning skills using ST05, SAT, SQL Monitor, ATC, and Code Inspector.

Integration Experience (Mandatory)

- The candidate should have hands-on experience with multiple SAP integration technologies, including:
- IDocs (Inbound, Outbound, ALE, Custom IDocs, Extension IDocs)
- BAPIs and Remote Function Calls (RFC, tRFC, qRFC, bgRFC)
- REST APIs and SOAP Web Services
- SAP Gateway and OData Services
- SAP PI/PO integrations
- SAP Cloud Integration (SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite)
- Proxy Development (Inbound & Outbound)
- XML, JSON, XSLT, and File-based integrations (CSV, XML, Flat Files)
- SFTP and FTP integrations
- API integrations with third-party enterprise applications
- SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)
- SAP Cloud Connector
- SAP Event Mesh (preferred)
- Middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, TIBCO, or Azure Integration Services
- Integration with SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and other enterprise applications
- Experience integrating SAP with banking systems, payment gateways, tax platforms, logistics providers, and external government/regulatory systems is highly desirable.
