Job Title: Tableau Developer

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Tableau Developer who can design and deliver dynamic, secure, and mobile-ready dashboards and reports using Tableau. The role involves working with large datasets, multiple data sources, and implementing custom security models and RLS. This position is based in Coimbatore and offers an chance to work in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dashboard Design and Development:
• Design interactive Tableau dashboards for desktop and mobile.
• Use dynamic configurations to allow reports to adapt based on business rules.
• Ensure dashboards are intuitive, performant, and visually appealing.
2. Tableau Server Administration:
• Create and manage users, groups, projects, and workbooks.
• Set up appropriate permission sets for secure access.
• Deploy dashboards and manage versioning.
3. Data Security and RLS:
• Implement custom security models and row-level security (RLS) for sensitive data access.
• Collaborate with data governance teams to maintain data compliance.
• Ensure secure access via Tableau authorization frameworks.
4. Data Integration and Management:
• Connect to various data sources and manage large data volumes efficiently.
• Map reporting requirements to existing data models.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to align on backend logic.
5. Scheduling and Automation:
• Configure scheduled extract refresh jobs and task automation.




• Monitor job performance and address failure points.
• Ensure high availability of published dashboards.
6. Collaboration and Documentation:
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Document design specs, configurations, and security rules.
• Participate in sprint planning, status reporting, and reviews.
7. Mobile-Ready Design:
• Design dashboards optimized for mobile access.
• Ensure responsive layouts and intuitive navigation for on-the-go users.
8. Compliance and Best Practices:
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and client-specific data privacy regulations.
• Follow team coding and visualization standards.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Server.
• Strong expertise in Tableau authorization, RLS, and custom security model implementation.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and large datasets.
• Skilled in dashboard design for both web and mobile users.
• Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and deploy Tableau content independently.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in healthcare or life sciences domains.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or other version control tools.
• Understanding of data warehousing and BI fundamentals.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed for client deliverables.
