Medical Coding Role & Responsibilities

- Review and analyze patient medical records and clinical documentation.
- Assign accurate medical codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with healthcare guidelines and regulations.
- Review physician documentation and identify diagnoses and procedures.
- Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and documentation gaps.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned coding tasks.
- Follow organizational coding standards, quality guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare and clinical teams for documentation clarification when required.
- Maintain high standards of coding accuracy, productivity, and quality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, Microbiology,



or a relevant healthcare field.
- Candidates with medical coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCA are preferred.
- Freshers with relevant Medical Coding training are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Good understanding of medical terminology and disease processes.
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding concepts is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current processes.
- Ability to meet quality and productivity targets.
