Role Responsibilities

- Lead comprehensive patient consultations, diagnosis, and treatment planning across general and subspecialty ophthalmology cases
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgeries with high safety and throughput
- Collaborate with optometrists, technicians, and front-desk teams to ensure seamless patient journey and diagnostic accuracy
- Document clinical findings and surgical outcomes in EMR systems with precision and compliance to clinic protocols
- Contribute to clinic quality audits, clinical pathway redesign, and training of junior residents or fellows
- Participate in community outreach programs and patient education initiatives aligned with clinic growth goals

Skills Qualifications

Must-Have





- MS / DNB / DRNB / FRCS / DNB-Ophthalmology or equivalent recognized qualification
- Valid MCI/NMC registration with active license to practice
- Proficiency in Phacoemulsification and contemporary IOL selection
- Experience with anterior segment surgeries including glaucoma and corneal procedures
- EMR documentation fluency (e.g., Practo, eClinicalWorks, or hospital-specific systems)
- Ability to handle high-volume outpatient clinics and surgical scheduling efficiency

Preferred

- Subspecialty fellowship in vitreo-retina, pediatric ophthalmology, or neuro-ophthalmology
- Experience with tele-ophthalmology platforms or digital patient engagement tools
- Previous leadership role in multi-specialty or chain clinic settings
