Role & responsibilities
- Lead execution of controls engineering activities within current product development and system integration projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Translate system and customer requirements into control system functional specifications, control narratives, and technical milestones.
• Coordinate daily activities across Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Define and manage control system architecture, I/O structures, network configurations, and interface definitions, Panel design and field control design.
• Lead and participate in control design reviews, feasibility studies, safety reviews, FMEA, and risk assessments.
• Monitor project progress, track controls deliverables, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams to resolve control and automation issues efficiently.
• PLC/HMI/SCADA development, and system integration activities.
• Lead controls testing, including simulation, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and site support, ensuring feedback is implemented.
• Prepare and maintain controls and project documentation, including control specifications, I/O lists, test plans, risk registers, and progress reports.
• Mentor and guide junior controls engineers in delivering assigned automation and integration tasks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and automation best practices throughout the project lifecycle
Preferred candidate profile: (With Valid B1/B2 Visa)
- Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
•15 to 20 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or industrial systems, with 5+ years in a project coordination or lead role.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and controls engineering lifecycle.
• Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMI (Allen Bradley, Siemens), SCADA (Allen Bradley, Ignition), motion control, and industrial communication networks.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, control logic, and system architecture documents.
• Working knowledge of safety systems, interlocks, and functional safety concepts.
• Familiarity with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation processes.
• Knowledge of relevant international standards and automation compliance requirements.
