Key Responsibilities

- Gather data and analytics requirements from business/IT stakeholders and translate them into Datasphere/BDC data models
- Design and build spaces, connections, data flows, and replication flows within SAP Datasphere
- Model data using Datasphere's graphical/SQL-based modeling tools entity-relationship models, analytic models, fact/dimension views
- Configure and manage data integration from SAP sources (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, ECC) and non-SAP sources (databases, cloud storage, third-party apps)
- Build and manage data products within the SAP BDC framework, aligned with SAP's Business Data Fabric approach
- Configure integration between Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting/dashboarding
- Work with Databricks integration (federated/open lakehouse scenario) where applicable for advanced analytics/data science use cases
- Implement data governance, security (data access controls, row/column-level security), and data cataloging within Datasphere
- Support migration from legacy BW/BW4HANA systems to Datasphere
- Optimize data flows, replication performance, and storage/compute consumption
- Prepare functional/technical specifications and coordinate with data engineering/ABAP/BW teams
- Conduct unit testing, data validation, and support UAT for analytics/reporting deliverables




- Provide production support, troubleshoot data pipeline/model issues, and resolve tickets
- Prepare documentation: data architecture diagrams, modeling guides, configuration documents, and training material
- Participate in client workshops for data strategy, architecture design, and solution walkthroughs

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Robust hands-on experience in SAP Datasphere (or SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, its predecessor)
- Understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud architecture and its components (Datasphere, SAC, Databricks integration, data products)
- Experience with data modeling concepts — star schema, dimensional modeling, semantic layers
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with data replication/integration tools (SLT, SDI, CDS Views, OData)
- Familiarity with SAP BW/BW4HANA if involved in migration projects
- Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for story/dashboard building and model consumption
- Understanding of data governance, security, and access control concepts
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- SAP certification in Datasphere/BW4HANA/SAC is a plus
