Job Title: OPA Gatekeeper Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced OPA Gatekeeper Engineer with 46 years of experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing governance, security, and compliance policies using Open Policy Agent (OPA) Gatekeeper on AWS EKS. This role requires solid expertise in Kubernetes security, policy-as-code, and platform operations to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement, configure, and manage Open Policy Agent (OPA) Gatekeeper on AWS EKS clusters.
- Enforce cluster-wide governance, security, and compliance policies using OPA Gatekeeper.
- Act as the custodian of the AWS EKS platform, ensuring platform reliability, security, and operational consistency.




- Monitor Kubernetes clusters and dashboards to identify configuration drift, policy violations, and unauthorized changes.
- Review, validate, and maintain OPA Gatekeeper policies, including Constraint Templates and Constraints.
- Update policy documentation and maintain corresponding test files to align with evolving compliance and governance requirements.
- Collaborate with platform engineering, security, DevOps, and application teams to implement policy-driven Kubernetes security.
- Troubleshoot policy-related issues and optimize Kubernetes cluster security and performance.
- Support Git-based policy management and policy-as-code workflows.
- Ensure adherence to Kubernetes security best practices and organizational compliance standards.
