Automation Test Engineer Playwright & API Testing

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong
expertise in Playwright and API testing to join our Smart Buildings
team. The role focuses on building scalable automation solutions,
improving test coverage, and ensuring high-quality product delivery
within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation test scripts using Playwright
(JavaScript/TypeScript) for web applications
- Perform API automation testing using RestAssured, ensuring
reliability and performance of backend services
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Page Object Model
(POM) and Data-Driven Testing (DDT) approaches
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI /
Jenkins / Azure DevOps)
- Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and automation roadmap
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams in
Agile/Scrum setup
- Perform manual testing when required and ensure comprehensive test
coverage
- Analyze defects, ensure proper reporting, and maintain test
artifacts




Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Playwright (JavaScript / TypeScript)
- API testing using RestAssured (Java)
- Good understanding of:
- Automation frameworks (POM, DDT)
- Testing frameworks (TestNG / NUnit)
- Version control (Git)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration abilities
Valuable to Have:
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java)
- Exposure to performance or security testing
- Hands-on experience in Appium (mobile automation)
- Knowledge of cloud testing platforms
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field
Additional Notes (Internal Context):
- Primary focus will be on strengthening automation coverage and
maintaining existing test suites
- Role is aligned with improving automation maturity and CI/CD quality
gates within the product
