- 5-10 years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4.x preferred).
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Set up and maintain Mule Runtimes on standalone servers, CloudHub 1.0/2.0 (RTF Runtime Fabric), and containerized Kubernetes environments.
- Configure environment-specific properties using secure configuration files, Anypoint Secrets Manager, and externalized property management.
- Experience with Anypoint Omni Gateway (Flex Gateway) for API deployment and management.
- Implement and manage API policies (Rate Limiting, SLA Tiers, OAuth 2.0, JWT, IP Whitelisting) through Anypoint API Manager.
- Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, WebSockets JMS, FTP/SFTP, and database connectors.
- Familiarity with RAML and OpenAPI Specification (OAS/Swagger) for API design and documentation.
- Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft Anypoint Platform-based integrations including System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs following the API-led connectivity model.
- Build and consume RESTful and SOAP-Based APIs, handling complex data transformations using DataWeave 2.0.
- Develop integrations using MuleSoft with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), messaging platforms (Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Implement error handling, retry mechanisms, exception strategies,
and dead-letter queue patterns.
- Apply MuleSoft best practices including reusable components, shared libraries, common error frameworks, and logging standards.
- Develop Batch jobs, Schedulers, and event-driven flows for asynchronous processing.
- Work with MuleSoft Anypoint Exchange to publish, manage, and consume reusable assets.
- Enforce API governance standards: naming conventions, versioning policies, SLA management, and deprecation strategies.
- Implement security best practices including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, TLS/mTLS, certificate management, and API key rotation.
- Hands-on experience building pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency with Maven or Gradle for MuleSoft build automation.
- MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1 (required); Level 2 or Integration Architect certification is a robust plus.
- Mentoring mindset willingness to guide junior developers and participate in knowledge sharing.
- Familiarity with iPaaS platforms (Boomi, IBM, Tibco) as a comparison advantage.
- Familiarity with observability tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ELB), Azure, or GCP cloud services.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, and code review practices.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
