Job Summary

The Agency Development Manager is primarily responsible for driving life insurance business targets through the strategic management, recruitment, and development of an independent network of commission-based agents and advisors. This role combines team leadership, aggressive sales planning, and relationship management to expand market reach and secure consistent premium revenue.

Core Responsibilities

- Agent Recruitment & Onboarding: Source, identify, and recruit high-potential financial advisors and commission-based agents to expand the agency network.
- Training & Development: Conduct training modules on product updates, market compliance, and sales strategies to ensure new agents scale rapidly.
- Sales Target Achievement: Drive and monitor the execution of daily agent activity plans to achieve the branchs net premium goals.
- Performance Reviews:



Conduct weekly Performance Review Programs (PRPs) to track productivity, address pipelines, and update internal Sales MIS systems.
- Lead Generation & Joint Field Work: Accompany agents on high-value field client visits to build confidence, close sales gaps, and cross-sell banking/insurance products.
- Digital Adoption: Encourage and guide agents to actively leverage the CRM Agent Portal for smooth pipeline execution and target visibility.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Graduate / PG in any stream (MBA in Marketing or Sales is highly preferred).
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of proven track record in field sales, financial services, or direct life insurance sales.
- Core Skills: Solid team motivation skills, excellent local networking capabilities, convincing verbal communication, and a results-driven mindset.
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of retail insurance products, financial planning, IRDAI compliance guidelines, and competitor products.
