About The Job:
US Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for evaluating and underwriting residential mortgage loan applications, including Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review and underwrite Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR mortgage loans.
- Analyze borrower income, assets, credit, employment, and collateral.
- Evaluate bank statements, asset depletion, 1099 income, ITIN, and P&L-only; programs.
- Ensure compliance with investors and regulatory guidelines.
- Issue approvals, conditions, suspensions, or denials.
- Review and clear underwriting conditions.
- Collaborate with loan officers, processors, brokers, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records.
- Stay updated on mortgage products and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years of US mortgage underwriting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Client, Freddie Mac, Non-QM, and DSCR guidelines.
- Experience with income analysis, risk assessment, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with LOS systems and DU/LP.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Exposure to Encompass, Calyx Path, or similar LOS. Additional Hiring Notes
- UG is mandatory.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- US Rotational Night Shifts.
- Work From Office.
