Job Designation: Associate (Engineer / Sr. Engineer) - Costing

Duration of the Engagement: Full Time

Location: Chennai (Initially in Ambattur Office and will be moved to Mahindra World City)

Job Description:

Position 1: Machining

- To perform as an individual contributor working on cost estimation (should cost) for machined parts for off highway products.

Technical Requirements:

- Should be well versed with Drawing study & manufacturing technique.
- Very good knowledge in machining processes.
- Well aware of Method & Process identification in machining.
- Solid experience in machine selection & Cycle time calculation.
- Should be aware of welding process & cost implications for welding.
- Should have knowledge on Costing/Estimation process & deriving the Should cost for the given assembly/component.
- Should be capable of process identification for casting/forging/machining manufacturing process.
- Generate ideas on cost saving by competitive benchmarking.
- Knowledge on VA/VE process, approach and cost estimation.
- Good Communication Skills in English verbal and written.

Tools:

- Proficiency in using MS office/
- Any costing tool experience like Costimator, aPriori, Hyperlean, etc.

Educational Skills/Experience:

- Should have 3-5 years of experience in any of the following industries - Auto ancillary, Automobile industries (OEM), Agriculture, Construction Equipment, Engineering Services Organization.
- B.E (Mechanical / Production), Diploma in Mechanical/Production.

Position 2: Plastics / Rubber / Glass Parts





- To perform as an individual contributor working on cost estimation (should cost) for Plastic, Rubber / Glass.

Technical Requirements:

- Should be well versed with Drawing study & manufacturing technique for above commodity parts.
- Very good manufacturing knowledge in various plastic & rubber processing methods and Glass parts.
- Well aware of Method & Process identification for above commodity.
- Strong experience in machine selection & Cycle time calculation (process and labour).
- Good knowledge in machine hour rate calculation.
- Knowledge on tooling cost estimation for plastic and rubber parts.
- Should have knowledge on Costing/Estimation process & deriving the Should cost for the given assembly/component.
- Should be capable of process identification for injection / blow / compression/ SMC / Rotational molding / Reaction Injection molding and glass processing.
- Generate ideas on cost saving by competitive benchmarking.
- Knowledge on VA/VE process, approach and cost estimation.
- Good Communication Skills in English verbal and written.

Tools:

- Proficiency in using MS office.
- Any costing tool experience like Costimator, aPriori, Hyperlean, etc. is preferred.

Educational Skills/Experience:

- Should have 4 - 6 years of experience in any of the following industries - Auto ancillary, Automobile industries (OEM), Agriculture, Construction Equipment, Engineering Services Organization.
- B.E (Mechanical / Production), Diploma in Mechanical/Production.
