Experience Required: 4-6
JD : Install, configure, and manage Apache Kafka clusters in development, test, and production environments.
Perform Kafka broker installation, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
Monitor Kafka cluster health, performance, and availability.
Create and manage topics, partitions, replication factors, and consumer groups.
Troubleshoot Kafka performance issues, message delays, broker failures, and replication problems.
Configure Kafka security, including SSL/TLS encryption, SASL authentication, and ACLs.
Manage Kafka backups, disaster recovery, and high availability.
Work with application teams to onboard new producers and consumers.
Optimize Kafka performance by tuning brokers, producers, and consumers.
Automate Kafka administration tasks using shell scripts or automation tools.
Support CI/CD deployments involving Kafka infrastructure.




Maintain documentation for Kafka architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

Required Skills

Robust knowledge of Apache Kafka architecture and internals.
Experience with:
Topic management
Partitioning and replication
Consumer groups
Brokers and controllers
Kafka Connect
Kafka MirrorMaker
Kafka Streams (preferred)
Experience with Linux administration.
Knowledge of ZooKeeper (for older Kafka versions) and KRaft mode (newer Kafka versions).
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack.
Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or Shell).
Understanding of networking, SSL certificates, firewalls, and DNS.
Experience with containers and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
