Production Engineer –is responsible for complete assembly of cell to module and Module
pack including container integration and testing.

Job Description

BESS Production

1. Perform Cell cycling, cell testing and cell sorting of Prismatic, cylindrical and pouch cells
including 314 AH & 588 AH rating,
2. Segregate cells into A grade , A minus & B grand cells
3. Testing and verification of cells for voltage, IR and K value
4. Assembly of cell to module and module to pack including cell insulation, stacking, compression,
cell terminal shaping /cleaning and installing control panel
5. Do first testing and second testing of the stacked cells
6. Ensure high quality laser welding of the cells
7. Verification of QR code generation for each module
8. Integration of module to pack including BMS installation, cooling plate installation and wire
connections within modules.
9. Assembly of 52.24 V, 12.8V, 25.6 V and 51.2 V cell packs
10. Do EOL ( End of line testing ) and Battery aging testing
11. Coordinate and work as a team for battery pack line installation
12. Operation and maintenance of all machineries and testing equipment of the battery assembly
line.
13. Coordinate with team to do performance projections using software tools for number of cycles,
degradation pattern, depth of discharge (DOD), state of health (SOH) and develop product
aesthetics.
14. Do container integration with racks, chiller, DC combiner box etc and testing




15. Be a part of all technical discussions with clients, vendors and all stack holders in the value
chain.
16. Coordinate with stores, quality and supply chain team
17. Ensure timely project completion per production schedule
18. Thorough knowledge in various cell chemistry including LFP, NMC, LTO etc.
Testing and certification
19. Testing and certification – Coordinating with third party testing agencies to obtain UL/ IEC
certifications
20. Follow the procedures of QAP & FAT
21. Coordinate with site engineer for testing and commissioning of BESS in Site.
22. Assist procurement team in selection of suppliers for raw materials and equipments
23. Should be Skilled in operating battery pack line including lathe machines, welding equipment,
and testing machines.
24. To have thorough knowledge in operating procedures, safety protocols of all machineries,
testing equipment and battery assembly line.
Experience & Qualities required
25. Result oriented person with high technical acumen in cell , module and pack assembly with
over 5+ years of experience
26. Should have thorough understanding in existing technologies and future trends.
27. BE with Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a reputed institute.
28. Sound knowledge of policies and regulatory framework of Indian BESS market..
29. Language proficiency in English, Tamil and Hindi
