Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Management

- Develop and execute the departmental improvement plan, aligning with whole-school strategic goals.
- Lead faculty recruitment, onboarding, annual performance reviews, and career development.
- Manage the departmental budget, ensuring optimal procurement and deployment of mathematical resources and tech tools.

2. Curriculum & Assessment

- Oversee the design, planning, and evaluation of the mathematics syllabus across all key stages.
- Ensure consistency in marking, assessments, and examination standards aligned with external board expectations.
- Analyze student data to identify learning gaps and drive targeted academic interventions.

3. Teaching & Mentorship

- Maintain a teaching timetable, acting as an outstanding pedagogical role model.
- Conduct classroom observations, review lesson plans,



and provide constructive feedback to math instructors.
- Promote inclusive practices, ensuring that high-achieving students are challenged and struggling learners receive appropriate support.

Requirements

- Education: Masters degree in Mathematics or a related field, accompanied by a mandatory teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed.).
- Experience: 10+ years of teaching experience with a proven record of strong student outcomes, including 2-4 years in an instructional leadership role.
- Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, exceptional communication, proficiency in modern educational technology, and strategic team-building abilities
