Position Summary
The AGM / GM Polymer Division will be the Head of Polymer Business Operations and will be responsible for complete management of polymer recycling, compounding, production, quality, planning, dispatch, technology, automation, training, plant administration, and profitability.
The candidate must possess strong experience in plastic recycling, polymer compounding, extrusion operations, recycled polymers, process optimization, customer specifications, and circular economy manufacturing.
The position requires a hands-on leader capable of managing a large-scale polymer manufacturing operation while building a culture of safety, SOP compliance, training, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
Candidates must be Willing to Relocate near Gumudipoondi Location
Key Responsibilities
Business Unit Leadership
- Head the complete Polymer Division and drive business growth.
- Lead Production, Quality, Planning, Dispatch, Technical Services, and Plant Administration functions.
- Develop annual business plans, production plans, and growth strategies.
- Drive profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish performance-driven culture across the division.
- Build and mentor high-performing technical and production teams.
Production & Operations Management
Responsible for complete manufacturing operations of:
- PPCP Granules
- PPHP Granules
- HDPE Granules
- ABS Granules
- HIPS Granules
- Customized Polymer Compounds
- Customer-Specific Recycled Polymer Grades
Key Responsibilities:
- Production planning and scheduling.
- Daily production monitoring.
- Capacity utilization improvement.
- Productivity enhancement.
- Yield improvement.
- Downtime reduction.
- Rejection reduction.
- Cost optimization.
- Shift management.
- Resource utilization improvement.
Plastic Recycling Operations
- Lead recycling operations involving post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste.
- Improve washing, grinding, segregation, sorting, and extrusion efficiencies.
- Drive contamination control and material recovery programs.
- Optimize recycling processes to maximize profitability and quality.
- Ensure consistency in recycled raw material preparation.
Polymer Compounding & Product Development
- Lead development of customized polymer compounds and customer-specific formulations.
- Develop grades suitable for:
- Automotive Industry

- Improve polymer properties through formulation optimization.
- Support customer approvals and technical qualification programs.

Raw Material Management

- Ensure products consistently meet customer specifications.

- Minimize customer complaints and product rejection.
Dispatch & Customer Commitment
- Ensure production and dispatch commitments are achieved on time.
- Coordinate with Sales, Planning, Stores, Logistics, and Quality teams.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Monitor order fulfilment and customer service performance.
- Ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery performance.
Plant Administration & Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day plant administration activities.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, HR, Stores, EHS, Security, and Administration departments.
- Ensure workforce discipline and operational effectiveness.
- Drive accountability across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain healthy industrial relations and workforce engagement.
SOP, Training & Skill Development
- Establish and maintain a strong SOP-driven manufacturing culture.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review:
- Production SOPs
- Quality SOPs
- Maintenance SOPs
- Safety SOPs
- Operational Work Instructions
- Conduct periodic employee training programs.
- Develop skill matrices and competency assessment systems.
- Build a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
- Ensure training records and compliance documentation are maintained.
MIS & Management Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of:
- Daily Production Reports
- Weekly Reviews
- Monthly MIS
- Management Review Reports
- Productivity Dashboards
Monitor and report:
- Production Performance
- OEE
- Yield %
- Rejection %
- Downtime Analysis

Education

Experience
Mandatory
- 15–25+ years of experience in Polymer Manufacturing, Plastic Recycling, Polymer Compounding, or Extrusion Industries.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role heading production or business operations.
- Robust experience in recycled polymers and compounding operations.
