1. Infection Control Surveillance

- Conduct regular surveillance for Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs).
- Monitor infection trends and prepare surveillance reports.
- Identify and report infection outbreaks promptly.

2. Infection Prevention Practices

- Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, PPE usage, sterilization, and isolation protocols.
- Monitor adherence to infection control policies in all departments.

3. Audit & Compliance

- Conduct infection control audits in wards, ICUs, OTs, and other clinical areas.
- Ensure compliance with NABH and hospital infection control standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits.

4. Training & Education

- Conduct awareness programs and training sessions for staff on infection control practices.
- Educate healthcare workers regarding biomedical waste management and safety measures.

5. Biomedical Waste Management





- Monitor proper segregation and disposal of biomedical waste as per regulations.
- Ensure protected handling of contaminated materials.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain infection control records, audit reports, and surveillance data.
- Prepare monthly infection control reports and presentations.

7. Coordination & Support

- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, housekeeping, CSSD, and microbiology departments.
- Support outbreak investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Certification or training in infection control preferred.
- 3 - 8 years of experience in infection control or critical care preferred.
