Roles & Responsibilities

- Assist consultants during OPD, IPD, ICU, and ward rounds.
- Perform initial patient assessment, history taking, and physical examination.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical records and clinical documentation.
- Coordinate diagnostic investigations and ensure timely availability of reports.
- Monitor patients' clinical progress and report any significant changes to the consultant.
- Assist during medical procedures and interventions as required.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, referrals, and discharges.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
- Coordinate chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or cardiac procedures as applicable.
- Ensure informed consent and necessary documentation before procedures.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology,



and other departments for seamless patient care.
- Participate in emergency response and provide Basic Life Support (BLS) whenever required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical medical practices.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control protocols, and hospital policies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CMEs, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Consultant or Hospital Management.

Job Specification

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant (B.Sc. Physician Assistant) Mandatory.

Experience

- 1-5 years of experience in Cardiology or Oncology in a multispecialty hospital.
- Freshers with relevant clinical internship may also apply.
