TITLE: Senior SAP GTS Consultant

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) Consultant with 12+ years of SAP experience, including extensive hands-on expertise in SAP GTS implementation, rollout, and support projects. The candidate should have strong functional and integration knowledge across global trade compliance processes and SAP logistics modules.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. SAP GTS Implementation & Solution Design

- Lead end-to-end SAP GTS implementations, rollouts, and enhancements.
- Design and configure SAP GTS solutions covering:
- Compliance Management (Sanctioned Party List Screening, Embargo)
- Customs Management
- Risk Management
- Preference Processing

- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

2. Configuration & Functional Expertise

- Perform detailed configuration in SAP GTS modules.
- Set up and maintain:
- Legal regulations and compliance settings
- Product classification (HS Code, ECCN)
- SPL screening processes
- Customs procedures and declarations

- Ensure alignment with global trade compliance regulations.

3. Integration & Technical Coordination

- Manage integration of SAP GTS with:
- SAP ECC / S/4HANA
- SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), FI modules

- Work with technical teams on:

- IDocs, RFCs, and middleware integrations
- Data migration and system interfaces

- Collaborate with ABAP teams for enhancements, reports, and forms.

4. Stakeholder Management

- Act as a functional lead, interacting with business stakeholders and global teams.
- Conduct workshops, requirement sessions, and design discussions.




- Provide strategic guidance on trade compliance processes.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance

- Lead Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT cycles.
- Prepare test scenarios, test scripts, and ensure defect resolution.
- Ensure solution quality and compliance with business requirements.

6. Support & Continuous Improvement

- Provide L3 support for production issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.

7. Documentation & Compliance

- Prepare and maintain:
- Functional specification documents (FSD)
- Configuration documents
- Process design documents

- Ensure audit readiness and compliance documentation.

8. Leadership & Mentoring

- Mentor junior consultants and team members.
- Drive knowledge sharing sessions and capability building.
- Support delivery management in project planning and execution.

Required Skills & Competencies

Core Skills

- Robust hands-on experience in:
- SAP GTS Compliance Management
- Customs Management
- Risk Management & Preference Processing

- Deep understanding of global trade regulations and compliance processes
- Experience working with SAP ECC / S/4HANA integration

Technical & Functional Skills

- Knowledge of:
- IDocs, ALE, Interfaces
- Master data management (Business Partner, Material Classification)

- Familiarity with SAP tables and debugging is an added advantage
- Exposure to HANA / Fiori / GTS on S/4HANA preferred

Soft Skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in global, cross-functional teams
