We are looking for a Backup Support Engineer responsible for ticket handling, managing backup jobs, and executing restore requests to ensure customer data protection. The role involves maintaining backup infrastructure, performing upgrades, patching, and scheduled maintenance activities. You will operate in an SLA-driven workplace, ensuring timely resolution, accuracy, and continuous improvement of backup operations.

Work Model: Night Shift USA Alaska Time Zone

What you need to do:

- Ownership and responsibility for all tickets assigned to your queue.
- Checking and configuring backup jobs to safeguard our customers data.
- Executing restore data tickets.
- Perform maintenance (upgrades, migrations, patching, ...) on the infrastructure of the backup platform.
- Perform planned activities requested by the customer during the weekend or outsides business hours.
- Creation and modification of technical procedures, manuals and processes for supporting projects.
- Creation of change & maintenance requests prior to implementations.
- Share knowledge with other team members.

Must have:





- 3 years experience in a technical position (e.g. support engineering role).
- Hands-on experience with the Commvault Backup & Recovery solution.
- Knowledge of EMC (Legato) Networker, Veeam, NetBackup, or other backup technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of Windows server systems and correlated technical solutions (AD, DNS, DHCP).
- Basic knowledge of the following technical areas is of usage for performing your daily tasks: Linux/Unix environments, networking (TCP/IP & communication: LAN/WAN/VPN), database enterprise applications (MSSQL, Oracle).
- You will operate in an OLA and SLAs driven environment, so accuracy and sense of urgency are part of the day to day job.
- You have a continuous learning mindset - you are eager to learn and to constantly develop your skills and knowledge.
- Continuous improvement is like a second nature to you you feel comfortable in exploring proposals which can be implemented in the day-to-day activity of the team.
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
