We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 to 7 years of experience in machine design within the manufacturing industry. The role involves product design and development, preparation of engineering drawings and BOM, prototype validation, FEA analysis, SAP/PLM updates, vendor coordination, and providing technical support for production activities. Hands-on experience in AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, and ANSYS, along with knowledge of ISO, DIN, ASME, and JIS standards, is required.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Preparation and verification of part drawings, assembly drawings, and catalog parts
- Development of design concepts, engineering analysis, and calculations
- Prototype validation and release of product designs for production
- Conducting FEA analysis for critical parts
- Preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Uploading drawings and BOMs in SAP/PLM systems
- Preparation of customer specifications and customization of orders as per approved specifications
- Providing technical clarification and coordination with purchase teams, vendors, and customers
- Verification of vendor drawings and ensuring design compliance




- Providing technical support to assembly/shop floor activities
- Analysis of NCR/ECO and implementation of corrective actions
- Maintaining engineering documents as per IMS system requirements
- Assisting in pre-sales technical discussions, kick-off meetings, and resolving recurring technical issues
- Identifying and implementing design and cost improvement opportunities

Competency Required

- Hands-on experience in 2D and 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Creo
- Knowledge of standards including ISO, DIN, ASME, and JIS
- Knowledge of SAP/PLM software
- Experience in FEA tools such as ANSYS
- Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks within deadlines
- Candidate must be willing to relocate and work in Kanchipuram or Chennai.
- Candidates with 75% and above in UG in B.E. Mechanical Engineering will be preferred.
- PG qualification will be considered an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
