Technical Architect Job Description
Role Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Technical Architect with 14+ years of experience in designing and building enterprise-grade applications. This role is hands-on and focuses on defining application architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability, while guiding engineering teams and influencing technology decisions across initiatives.
Architecture & Design
•Translate business requirements into scalable architectural designs, including High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documentation
•Deep hands-on experience in Application Architecture and design across multiple architectural styles — Microservices, Event-Driven, CQRS, Serverless, and Clean Architecture
•Proficient in industry-standard design patterns (SOLID, DRY, GoF patterns) for solving complex functional and non-functional problems
•Design and build highly scalable, maintainable, and available systems using Microsoft technologies and open standards
•Lead prototype development for new technology initiatives; conduct technology evaluation, selection, and recommendation
•Define and implement best practices, governance standards, and industry-proven methodologies across teams
•Design AI-integrated applications using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude), including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic workflows
•Lead AI-assisted development practices using tools like Co-Pilot,



Claude Code etc.

Cloud, DevOps & Performance
•Hands-on exposure to cloud services on Azure and/or AWS — compute, storage, messaging, identity, and managed AI services
•Familiarity with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
•Solid experience in performance engineering and tuning — profiling, load testing, caching strategies, async/parallel processing
•Knowledge of security architecture: OAuth2/OIDC, API gateway patterns, secrets management, and data encryption at rest and in transit
Consulting & Leadership
•Proven architectural consulting experience across varied domains and enterprise customers
•Proficient in Visio, draw.io, Lucidchart, or equivalent technical design tools for communicating architecture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
•Mentor and guide development teams in writing quality, maintainable code; conduct structured code reviews and drive refactoring efforts
•Collaborate with engineering, and business leaders to define and execute organizational technology initiatives
•Drive AI literacy within engineering teams — championing responsible, pragmatic adoption of AI tooling in the software development lifecycle
