Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong US Life Insurance domain expertise to support large-scale insurance transformation and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirement analysis, solution definition, Agile delivery, and successful implementation of business solutions.

Candidates must possess deep expertise in Life Insurance operations, including Policy Administration, Agent Management, Home Office Operations, Underwriting, and Claims.

Experience Required

- 7–10 years of overall Business Analysis experience.
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in the US Life Insurance domain.
- Strong experience in:

- Agent Lifecycle Management (Onboarding, Hierarchy, Commissions, Incentives)
- Policy Administration (New Business, Endorsements, Renewals, Servicing)
- Home Office Operations
- Underwriting Processes (Manual & Automated)
- Claims Management
- Risk Assessment and Decision Workflows

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement walkthrough sessions.
- Create and maintain:

- Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
- Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
- User Stories
- Acceptance Criteria
- Process Flow Diagrams

Agile Delivery & Backlog Management





- Translate business requirements into actionable user stories.
- Participate in backlog grooming and refinement activities.
- Ensure stories meet Definition of Ready (DoR).
- Support Sprint Planning, SIT, UAT, and Release activities.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle.

AI-Assisted Business Analysis

Utilize AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms for:

- Requirement analysis and structuring
- Documentation acceleration
- Gap analysis and validation
- Productivity enhancement

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

- Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Provide business and domain clarifications during development and testing phases.
- Support UAT execution, defect triage, and business sign-offs.
- Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability.

Risk & Dependency Management

- Identify business process gaps, risks, and dependencies.
- Recommend mitigation strategies and drive resolution.

Required Skills

- Strong Life Insurance domain expertise.
- Experience with Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Agent Management, and Home Office Operations.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Expertise in BRD, FRD, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to AI-assisted Business Analysis tools and practices.

- Experience working on Policy Administration Systems (PAS).
- Exposure to digital insurance transformation or modernization programs.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven requirements.
- Business Analysis certifications preferred:

- FLMI® (Fellow, Life Management Institute)
- ALMI® (Associate, Life Management Institute)
