Role & responsibilities

- Lead and manage the EHV Testing Laboratory for transformer manufacturing and remanufacturing operations.
- Plan, monitor, and execute Routine, Type, Special, and Customer Witness Tests on Power Transformers.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE, ANSI, and customer specifications.
- Review test procedures, analyze results, and approve test reports.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Projects, and Customer Inspection teams.
- Ensure calibration, maintenance, and optimum utilization of testing equipment.
- Drive NABL/ISO compliance, quality systems, and laboratory audits.
- Lead root cause analysis for test failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to EHS (Setting, Health & Safety) standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage laboratory manpower, training, competency development, and performance.
- Support new product development,



testing capability enhancement, and laboratory modernization.
- Interface with customers, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies during testing.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- M.E./M.Tech in High Voltage Engineering will be an added advantage.
- 15-24+ years of experience in Transformer Manufacturing/Remanufacturing.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in EHV Testing Laboratory leadership.
- Strong knowledge of Power Transformer Testing, High Voltage Testing, and International Standards.
- Experience in customer inspections, NABL/ISO systems, and laboratory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
