IP protection

- Selection of the most appropriate type of protection (Patent, Design, Copyright, ) and best way to proceed
- Definition of the creation/inventions, preparation of the filings (drafting or subcontracting), filings, prosecutions
- Participation to the decisions regarding foreign filings,
- Definition of product coverage strategy with RD/Projects
- Patent portfolio management

Preventing or defending from third parties actions

- Project studies in view of identified competitor patents
- Action for reorienting any project in case of infringement risk
- Patent clearances and IP Rights validity studies based on one or cluster of families and including risk assessment
- Contributions to Oppositions / Nullity suits against patents granted to third parties
- Study and follow-up of infringement claims and litigations

Infringement actions against third parties

- Infringement detection and validity check of the files




- Offensive pre-litigation or litigation actions, in liaison with IP, Division Managements and other involved functions and according to Group rules

Support to other functions

- Reviewing of IP clauses in agreements, Proposition of modifications in agreements
- IP training for RD/RI teams

Applying the Setting Safety and Security procedures and good practices; know for their activities and the activities of subcontractors the potential risks and their consequences. Be attentive and responsive to them and manage the associated action plans.
