- Conduct mechanical tests such as:
- Tensile test, Hardness test (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers), Impact test (Charpy/Izod), Bend, Flattening, and Compression tests
- Metallography Testing
- Operate and maintain Universal Testing Machines (UTM), Impact testers, Hardness testers, etc.
- Ensure proper sample preparation according to test standards.
- Record, analyze, and interpret test results with high accuracy.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Follow relevant standards like ASTM, IS, ISO, BIS, etc.
- Maintain proper documentation of test procedures, results, calibration, and equipment logs.
- Assist in internal audits, inter-lab comparisons (ILC/PT), and method development.
- Comply with NABL/ISO 17025 quality management system requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working setting in the testing area.
- Coordinate with customers/clients when necessary for sample clarification or result interpretation.
