Role & responsibilities
- Define and drive architecture for mission-critical embedded and Linux-based systems - System architecture, embedded Linux, scalability, distributed systems
- Lead development of robust, high-performance core software components - C/C++ (C++17/20), Rust, Python, concurrency, memory management
- Design and optimize real-time and low-latency processing systems -
- RT systems, PREEMPT_RT Linux, scheduling, latency optimization
- Own hardware-software integration and abstraction layers - HAL, drivers, USB, CAN, Ethernet, sensor interfaces
- Define secure platform architecture and communication mechanisms - Secure boot, PKI, TLS, TPM/HSM, gRPC, Protobuf, IPC
- Guide development of native Linux diagnostic and support tools - Qt/QML, event-driven UI, Linux tooling
- Customize and maintain embedded Linux distributions and kernels - Yocto, BSPs, kernel configuration, package management
- Architect and maintain scalable build systems and CI/CD workflows - CMake, Bazel, Jenkins, cross-compilation, reproducible builds
- Ensure observability,
reliability, recovery, and monitoring across systems - systemd, watchdogs, logging, telemetry, monitoring
- Lead code reviews, engineering governance, and technical quality initiatives
- Mentor engineers and drive execution across cross-functional teams
- Take ownership of production issues, technical delivery, and continuous improvement RCA, decision-making, execution ownership, innovation mindset
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 4 years of experience in System architecture, Linux, Qt/QML, DSA
Solid hands-on experience with C++ (C++17/20) and/or Rust in production-grade systems
Experience mentoring or coordinating a small engineering team
Practical experience with multithreading, synchronization, debugging, and memory handling
Good to have - FFmpeg, GStreamer, H264/H265, OpenCV, image processing
