GCP network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced GCP Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate, and support enterprise-scale Google Cloud networking infrastructure. The candidate will work closely with Cloud Architects, Security, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable cloud networking solutions.

The engineer should possess strong troubleshooting capabilities, networking fundamentals, cloud security knowledge, automation skills, and production support experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of GCP Networking services including VPC, Shared VPC, Subnets, Routes, Cloud Router, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, Private Google Access, Private Service Connect (PSC), VPC Peering, and Network Connectivity Center (NCC).
- Hands-on experience with Hybrid Connectivity using Cloud VPN, HA VPN, Dedicated Interconnect, Partner Interconnect, and BGP routing.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Global & Regional Load Balancers, Internal & External Load Balancers, TCP/UDP, HTTP(S), SSL Proxy, URL Maps, Backend Services, and Health Checks.
- Solid experience implementing network security using Firewall Rules, Hierarchical Firewall Policies, Cloud Armor, VPC Service Controls, IAM, and Zero Trust networking principles.




- Good understanding of IP addressing, CIDR planning, subnetting, routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, VPN, SSL/TLS, IPv4/IPv6, and BGP.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code for network provisioning and automation.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available GCP network architectures.
- Configure and manage Shared VPCs, hybrid connectivity, and multi-project networking.
- Implement secure connectivity between GCP and on-premises environments using VPN and Interconnect solutions.
- Configure and maintain GCP Load Balancers, Cloud DNS, Cloud Router, Cloud NAT, and Private Service Connect.
- Define and enforce network security policies using Firewall Rules, Cloud Armor, and VPC Service Controls.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and optimize network performance.
- Automate network infrastructure deployment and configuration using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
