Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to manage, maintain, and enhance in-house developed automation tools, web portals, and reporting platforms that support critical business and operational functions. The role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of applications built using PHP, Python, Node.js, and React.js, running on Linux environments with backend databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

The position involves troubleshooting application and database issues, implementing enhancements, optimizing system performance, automating operational tasks, and ensuring adherence to coding, deployment, and operational standards. The role also collaborates with operations, infrastructure, and development teams to support ongoing improvements, ensure system stability, and deliver scalable and effective automation and reporting solutions aligned with business requirements.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

Core Competencies:

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and support automation tools, portals, and reports
- Good understanding of application support and production environments
- Ability to automate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Strong ownership and ability to work independently

Technical Knowledge:

- Hands-on experience in PHP, Python, Perl, Node.js, and React.js
- Strong Coding and Troubleshooting skills
- Good working knowledge of Linux systems and shell commands
- Strong database knowledge in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
- Experience in SQL queries, database support, and performance tuning
- Basic knowledge of web servers, APIs, and application deployments
- Automation Skills are preferred

Experience:

- 3+ years of experience in application support, automation, or development
- Experience managing in-house portals, automation tools, and reports
- Experience working in Linux production environments
- Telecom / OSS / enterprise application experience is preferred
