Role: Senior AI Platform Software Engineer
Location: Hyderabad, (Hybrid 3 days in a week)

Summary:

We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Software Engineer to lead the evolution of our enterprise AI Operations Platform. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering and focuses on building scalable AI infrastructure, backend platforms, and cloud-native systems that enable Generative AI solutions at production scale.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the architecture, design, and scalability of the AI Operations Platform.
- Define and enforce engineering standards, architectural best practices, and platform governance.
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale backend services and distributed systems using Python.
- Build reusable APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop and enhance AI platform capabilities, including:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Prompt management
- LLM integrations
- Hallucination detection
- AI model versioning
- AI evaluation and benchmarking frameworks

- Build integrations with enterprise applications, cloud services, and internal developer platforms.
- Improve platform reliability through observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and automated quality assurance.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and containerized deployment workflows.
- Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Kubernetes/EKS.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, design discussions, code reviews, and technical coaching.




- Drive production readiness, operational excellence, security, and platform resilience.

Required Skills:

- 10-12 years of software engineering experience building and operating: Large-scale backend platforms, distributed systems, developer platforms, enterprise internal tools, automation platforms - Previous experience programming from scratch with Python as well as doing feature enhancements
- 2+ years of practical Generative AI experience, including: Building and shipping AI-powered applications, LLM integrations, RAG architectures, vector databases, hybrid search, and building and implementing chatbots
- Experience implementing ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, understanding of how containers are built, and deployment automation
- Familiarity with EKS and cloud-native application deployment
- Experience designing secure enterprise integrations with robust focus on: Identity management, permissions, auditability, security, operational safety - Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and mentor engineering teams
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have:

- Deep understanding of: Kubernetes, API design and architecture, event-driven systems, message queues, PostgreSQL and data storage systems, caching technologies, CI/CD pipelines, telemetry and distributed tracing
- Strong understanding of reliability and resiliency patterns including: Retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, rate limiting, asynchronous processing, failure isolation, incident response
