Job Title: Duty Medical Officer

Department: Medical - Doctors

Reports to: Medical- Coordinator/ In- Charge Medical Service

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide Treatment to cases of illness / injuries.

Refer for hospitalization when required.

Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating of clinical patients

in order to meet their medical needs.

Determine which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs.

Carry out regular health check up of all the Employees/workers and document all

Services in patient medical record.

Cognitive Clinical Management

1. Perform and document history & physical examination

2. Formulate differential diagnosis

3. Develops and documents initial plan of care*

4. Modifies daily plan of care as advised by Consultant

5. Writes daily progress notes

6 .Obtain and document informed consent

7. Perform preoperative work up

8. Order appropriate referrals as advised by Consultant

9.



Order appropriate investigations*

10. Interpret laboratory & radiology results*

11. Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*

12. Order appropriate medication and other orders after consultation with Consultant.

13. Prepare an appropriate discharge summary

Clinical Non-invasive Management

1. Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation

2. Orders, adjusts artificial feeding modalities

3. Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac and pulmonary function testing

Clinical Invasive Management

1. Inserts central venous catheter*

2. Performs nasogastric intubation*

3. Inserts urethral catheter

4. Assist in CTVS surgical procedure Quality of Service

And any other jobs assigned by the Executive Director / Consultant as per exigencies of work.
