We are seeking experienced Surgery Medical Coders with 2 to 7 years of hands-on coding experience in surgical specialties. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier codes, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, and supporting revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Review operative reports, physician notes, discharge summaries, and medical documentation.
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes for surgical procedures.
- Apply appropriate modifiers as per payer and coding guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, AMA, HIPAA, and payer-specific regulations.
- Identify documentation deficiencies and communicate with providers for clarification.
- Perform coding quality checks and participate in audit processes.
- Meet daily productivity and quality targets.
- Stay updated on coding changes, regulatory updates, and payer requirements.




- Support denial analysis and coding-related appeals when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information.

- Good understanding of NCCI edits and modifier application.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and encoder tools.
- Solid analytical and communication skills.
