Role Summary

The Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Consultant is responsible for supporting, enhancing, implementing, and maintaining transportation and logistics solutions on the Oracle OTM platform. The role requires solid functional and technical expertise in transportation management processes, system configuration, integrations, incident management, and stakeholder collaboration.

The consultant will work closely with business users, cross-functional teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation operations, system stability, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

- Configure and support Oracle Transportation Management modules including:
- Order Management
- Shipment Management
- Transportation Planning
- Rate and Contract Management
- Financial Management
- Business Process Automation

- Analyze business requirements and provide scalable OTM solutions.
- Conduct requirement gathering sessions and functional workshops with business stakeholders.
- Prepare functional specifications and solution design documents.
- Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and production validation.

Technical Responsibilities

- Develop and support integrations between OTM and upstream/downstream applications.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolution of complex system and integration issues.
- Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries, procedures, and scripts.
- Work with XML, XSLT, web services, and integration frameworks.
- Analyze logs and identify root causes for application, integration, or performance issues.
- Support deployment activities and post-production stabilization.

AMS / Production Support

- Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within defined SLA targets.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Monitor critical interfaces, batch jobs, and system performance.
- Collaborate with users and technical teams to resolve production issues.




- Participate in major incident and outage management processes.

Process Improvement & Governance

- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in release planning, change management, and governance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and support processes.

Knowledge Management

- Create and maintain functional and technical documentation.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for team members and end users.
- Mentor junior consultants and support team capability development.

- Experience working in global delivery and stakeholder management environments.
